Certificate in Cultivating
Positive Team Communication

Communication isn’t a solo act—it’s a team effort!

When you and your teammates grow your communication skills together, you create a stronger, more connected workplace. That’s why this program is even more powerful when more than one person from your practice enrolls!

Co-facilitated by Josh and Andi. Designed for veterinary teams—including leaders, managers, veterinarians, and support staff—this course equips you with practical tools to foster trust, strengthen collaboration, and build healthier team dynamics.

Program Description

This highly interactive, evidence-based program will introduce participants to the art, science, and application of positive communication skills.  Participants will gain a deep understanding of the interconnected nature of positive communication, high-quality relationships, and the basics of conflict management in the workplace.  They will master the skills of cultivating and strengthening interpersonal capital within teams by way of applied positive communication and conflict management approaches.

The program leverages a mixed-methods approach to learning including asynchronous materials, supportive resources, small-bite live lectures, interactive “safe space” practice sessions, real-world skill-enhancing challenges, professional coaching, and more in an intimate cohort-style setting.

Learning Objectives

  • Develop a deep understanding of evidence-based methods of positive communication for teams, including Julien Mirivel’s model.

  • Master the 6 core skills of positive communication.

  • Develop a basic understanding of interpersonal conflict, conflict response styles, and what these concepts mean for productive and empowering  veterinary organizations.

  • Understand your own conflict response defaults and identify conflict response defaults in team members.

Shortly after, our monthly class cadence will begin.  Utilizing a small-bite, big-impact educational approach, each of the 6 course months will include:
